Welcome to Elin Coaching,
thank you for being here

I’m Barbara Deck, a certified trauma-informed coach, founder of Elin Coaching, and currently completing my Health & Well-Being Coach Training at Duke School of Integrative Medicine. I offer my clients supportive, thoughtful coaching for individuals navigating change. If you’re considering coaching, it means a part of you is ready for growth. It is an important step, an act of self-leadership and self-respect.
Coaching offers a supportive space to reflect, regain confidence, and move forward at your own pace.

According to the International Coaching Federation (ICF), coaching is a collaborative partnership that engages clients in a thought-provoking and creative process designed to help them maximize their personal and professional potential.Coaching is confidential and future-oriented.
Rather than concentrating on problems to be solved, it focuses on strengths to be developed and goals to be achieved.
It is equally important to clarify what coaching is not.
Coaching is not therapy, consulting, mentoring, or training. It does not involve diagnosing mental health conditions, treating past trauma, or providing expert advice.

My path into coaching is rooted in personal experience
and a deep belief in the mind–body connection

After back surgery, rehabilitation introduced me to Pilates and sparked my interest in how the body heals. I became a certified personal trainer, then expanded my focus to behavior change, mindset, and Narrative Therapy.A later accident reinforced my conviction that healing requires both physical recovery and psychological resilience.Today, I bring this integrated approach into my work as a trauma-informed coach, while completing my Health & Well-Being Coach Training at Duke University.

"Barbara has an innate ability to make me feel seen and heard. She provides a safe and grounding presence while simultaneously asking thoughtful and insightful questions. This has allowed me to take transformational strides in my own journey of self-discovery and overcoming obstacles I have faced during our ongoing work together. [...] She is the light that keeps on giving and I highly recommend anyone looking for an attuned coach to book a session with Barbara."— Laura S.

You don’t need to have everything figured out
You don’t need to be in crisis

You simply need a willingness to explore what’s next -in a way that feels steady, supportive, and aligned with who you are.
I provide a safe and confidential space built on trust, active listening, integrity, and empathy. Within this environment, clients are supported in reconnecting with their core values and developing sustainable, meaningful pathways toward well-being.
My coaching approach is:• Grounded in psychological safety and trust
• Strictly confidential
• Collaborative and non-judgmental
• Strength-based
• Trauma-informed

Change can feel unfamiliar
but it can also be an opening

I work with individuals navigating change -at any stage of life.• Adjusting to a life transition
• Recovering from an injury, surgery, or physical limitation
• Navigating the natural process of aging and what it brings
• Reconsidering your priorities or next chapter
• Looking for a space to think, feel, and move forward at your own pace

How Do You See Yourself
One Year From Now?

Lasting change unfolds with clarity, intention, and steady support.• Where would you like to be - physically, mentally, emotionally, or professionally?
• What habits will you have strengthened?
• What mindset will you have cultivated?
• What choices will you have made?

Coaching offers a supportive space to reflect, regain confidence, and move forward at your own pace. I offer a complimentary first conversation, a gentle place to explore what you’re going through and what you might need. From there, you can decide if working together feels right.

A first conversation is a simple opportunity to connect, ask questions, and see whether coaching may support you at this moment in your life:• Complimentary first session (30 minutes)
• Individual session (60 minutes): $120
• 4-session series: $440

Sessions are available online or in person.
The 4-session series is designed to support continuity and allow space for deeper, steady progress.
